What are the technical requirements for connecting wind power, solar power and other new energy sources to the grid?
Renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power are intermittent and volatile, and require coordination and cooperation after being connected to the grid to ensure safe and stable operation.
On the one hand, the large-scale grid connection of new energy requires the power grid to continuously improve its adaptability and safe and stable control capabilities, which is mainly reflected in: the power grid dispatching needs to coordinate all kinds of power generation resources in the whole network so that the power supply and demand of the whole network can achieve real-time dynamic balance and meet the safety operation standards; the power grid planning needs to carry out grid optimization work, and realize the reasonable layout and optimal configuration of new energy and conventional energy by determining the reasonable grid structure and sending-end power structure of large-scale new energy bases; the transmission link needs to adopt high-voltage AC/DC transmission technology to improve the transmission capacity of the power grid and reduce the transmission power loss.
On the other hand, in order to reduce the safety and stability risks brought by wind and solar power grid connection, new energy power generation needs to have basic access and control requirements. Smart grid has made specific provisions for active power control, power prediction, reactive power, voltage regulation, low voltage ride-through, operating frequency, power quality, models and parameters, communication and signal, and grid access testing of wind farms and photovoltaic power stations after they are connected to the grid, in order to solve the problems of standardized access to new energy power generation such as wind and solar energy, accurate prediction of intermittent power generation, and operation control technology, so as to realize the scientific and rational use of large-scale new energy.
