May 10, 2021 - Suzhou Naxin Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Naxin Micro"), a domestic excellent signal chain chip and solution provider, announced the launch of the cost-effective three-channel digital isolator NIRS31 and RS-485 interface isolation chip NIRS485. NIRS31/485 adopts innovative Adaptive OOK® capacitive isolation technology, with low radiated noise and high anti-interference, suitable for various cost-sensitive applications, such as power meters, industrial BMS, building automation, etc.
Small size, high pressure resistance
NIRS31/NIRS485 has a typical transient immunity of 150kV/μs and a surge withstand voltage of 6KV, making it easier to pass system-level surge tests and reduce peripheral protection devices. The 4.9mm×3.9mm SSOP16 small package makes it more suitable for high-integration solutions, helping engineers to significantly save PCB size and board layout space. NIRS31/NIRS485 has now passed CQC and UL certification, with an isolation withstand voltage of 3kVrms, which can meet various system safety requirements. In addition, Naxinwei has localized all aspects from chip design, wafer production to packaging and testing, ensuring the stability of supply.
Easier and more energy-efficient
Compared with discrete high-speed optocoupler isolation solutions, NIRS31 has a higher degree of integration and a data rate of 1Mbps, which saves more costs while meeting performance indicators. Compared with the discrete solution of 485 receiver plus optocoupler, NIRS485 is simple and easy to use, which not only saves circuit board size, but also greatly saves customers' material management costs.
