The number of rows and columns of LED display pixels is called the resolution of the LED display. Resolution is the total number of pixels on the display, which determines the information capacity of a display.
2. LED brightness
Under normal circumstances, the brightness of indoor LED display screens is different from that of outdoor LED display screens. Generally, the light intensity of indoor LED display screens is between 500μcd and 50mcd, and the light intensity of outdoor LED display screens is between 100mcd and 1000mcd, or even above 1000mcd.
3. Dot pitch, pixel density and information capacity
Dot pitch refers to the center distance between two pixels of the LED display. The number of pixels per unit area is called pixel density, and the amount of display content contained in a unit area is called information capacity. Dot pitch, pixel density, and information capacity describe the same concept, that is, dot pitch reflects pixel density from the distance between two pixels. Dot pitch and pixel density are the physical properties of the display, and information capacity is the quantitative unit of information carrying capacity of pixel density. The smaller the dot pitch, the higher the pixel density, the more information capacity, and the closer the viewing distance. The larger the dot pitch, the lower the pixel density, the less information capacity, and the farther the viewing distance.
4. Grayscale
Grayscale refers to the brightness of the light emitted by a pixel. The grayscale of a base color generally ranges from 8 to 1024. Under normal circumstances, the grayscale of an LED display is 256 levels.
5. LED pixel module
LEDs are arranged in a matrix or segments and prefabricated into standard-sized modules. The pixel modules used in outdoor display screens are also called cluster modules because each pixel consists of more than two LED tube bundles.
6. Dual primary colors
Double-color LED display means that each pixel has two LED cores, red and green. When the red core is on, the pixel is red, when the green core is on, the pixel is green, and when both the red and green cores are on at the same time, the pixel is yellow.
7. Full color
The red and green primary colors plus the blue primary color make up the full color. Since the technology of forming the full-color blue tube and pure green tube core is now mature, the market basically uses full color.
