In the past, when making glass ink, the quality of glass ink only needed to consider adhesion, recoatability, leveling, hiding power, and printability, and acetone resistance was easy to achieve. However, the glass ink used on the glass of solar panels has more, higher, and more complex performance requirements in addition to the simple basic issues mentioned above.
First of all, the glass of solar panels is not ordinary glass, but glass with a layer of electrochemical aluminum or nickel coated on the surface of the glass. The ink is printed on the surface of the coating, and the oil must not contain any acidity or alkalinity, otherwise it will corrode the coating.
Secondly, the ink on the glass of solar panels does not serve as a logo or decoration but has its special function: protecting the coating, promoting energy conversion and preventing energy loss.
Therefore, when developing solar panel glass ink, we cannot only consider the performance of ordinary glass ink. In terms of leveling, one thousandth of silicone defoaming and leveling agent will cause problems. Because the four corners of the product will drip glue when it is installed, and silicone defoaming agents or leveling agents will make the points loose, thus affecting the quality of the machine board. In terms of water resistance, most companies currently only require glass inks to withstand cold water for one day or hot water for two hours, and at most four hours of boiling will be completely unrecognizable. However, our ink requires continuous boiling in 100-degree boiling water for 72 hours without discoloration or falling off. In terms of acid and alkali resistance, the requirements are even higher, requiring no abnormality after soaking in 5% hydrochloric acid solution for five hours, and no discoloration, degreasing, or bubbling after soaking in 15% sodium hydroxide (alkali) for five hours. The printed products must also undergo three months of outdoor testing. In terms of printability, according to the requirements of the production line, after the ink is scraped off, there is no oil return, and the screen is exposed to the air for three minutes before printing a piece of glass. The length of the glass is 1.2 meters and the width is 60 centimeters. This alone is enough to discourage many suppliers.
With the gradual advancement of national energy conservation, emission reduction and environmental protection policies, the solar photovoltaic industry, as a key industry for national energy conservation and emission reduction, has received strong support from national policies and has developed vigorously.
