The LED indoor lighting market has huge potential. Currently, various types of LED lamps are available on the market. Both traditional lighting companies and emerging LED companies are eyeing the big cake of indoor lighting replacement. However, the reporter's investigation results show that LED is unlikely to shake the monopoly of traditional lighting lamps in the indoor market in the short term.
LED or energy-saving lamp or energy-saving lamp performance and cost comparison
LED development of indoor lighting market must adopt a step-by-step strategy. Public places with a large market share have huge demand for lighting fixtures, so they should be listed as the first choice for market development, such as offices, hotels, shopping malls, etc. Take office lighting as an example. At present, office lighting has different requirements for luminous flux. Taking luminous flux of 500lm/w as the dividing line, we will briefly analyze the market situation of 500lm/w and low luminous flux.
Efficacy of directional light sources with luminous flux below 500lm:
The specifications and prices of LED lamps with a luminous flux of less than 500lm/w for office lighting launched on the market were investigated. It was found that manufacturers mainly developed low-lumen LED lamps such as projection lamps, small projection lamps and downlights. The luminous flux of the lamps is less than 500lm, the power is within 15w, the average luminous efficiency of LED lamps is 30lm/w-80lm/w, and the price of LED lamps varies greatly from one company to another, generally between 60-150 yuan.
Compared with the existing low-luminous flux office lighting, which includes incandescent lamps, halogen lamps, and energy-saving lamps, LEDs that replace incandescent lamps and halogen lamps can be recycled within 2 years, while energy-saving lamps take 4.5 years.
Efficacy of directional light sources with a luminous flux higher than 500lm:
LED lamps with a luminous flux of more than 500lm for office lighting are still LED projection lamps and downlights. The luminous flux of the lamps is as high as 1,000 lumens or more. At present, the high luminous flux developed by manufacturers is as high as 1,700lm/w or more, so the development power is more than 20w. The average luminous efficiency of the lamps is 40-100lm/w, and the price is not cheap.
The environmental protection advantages are obvious and the future is worth looking forward to
Compared with traditional light sources, LEDs are still low-lumen luminous flux lamps when used in office lighting. Although the initial purchase price is too high, compared with the harm caused to the environment by mercury that penetrates into groundwater after fluorescent lamps are discarded, LED fluorescent lamps have incomparable advantages over traditional fluorescent lamps. Considering the long life and electricity saving, consumers have considerable advantages.
In some places where people work continuously for 24 hours, such as underground parking lots, factories that work overtime for 24 hours, etc., saving electricity is also very important. As mentioned above, a T8 LED fluorescent lamp can save about 20 watts of electricity, which means 20x365x24/1000=175.2 kWh of electricity can be saved in a year. If it is calculated at 0.7 yuan per kWh, then in a year, 122.64 yuan of electricity bill can be saved, and in two years, the cost of this LED fluorescent lamp can be saved. The electricity bill saved in the future will become pure income.
The high luminous flux office lighting market is currently the market with the most competitive light source lamps in the indoor lighting market, including incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, halogen lamps, metal-clad lamps and energy-saving lamps. Among them, the recovery time of incandescent lamps and halogen lamps is slightly shorter, about 3 years, while the payback time of other light sources such as incandescent lamps, metal-clad lamps and energy-saving lamps is about 7-10 years. The payback time is relatively long. LED lamps have to face the competitive advantages of energy-saving lamps, energy-saving lamp tubes and other lamps in the high luminous flux (higher than 500lm) office lighting market. In addition, the cost-effectiveness of existing energy-saving lamps is obviously superior in the market. In comparison, it is more difficult for LED to open up this market.
As a lighting fixture, LED has the advantage of efficiency, but the lifespan issue that has been criticized depends on the technical maturity of the enterprise, including the further solution of supporting drivers and junction temperature heat dissipation. Overall, the strategy of selecting application markets should be gradual, and it is better to choose public occasions and commercial lighting as the market with a larger market share as the initial development market.
