1) The negative grid uses antimony-free lead-calcium alloy to increase the negative electrode hydrogen evolution overpotential, that is, to increase the critical voltage of gas evolution. It is calculated that the lead-calcium alloy is 200mv higher than the low antimony alloy in gas evolution. The hydrogen evolution is suppressed and a certain internal pressure is maintained. And it has strong corrosion resistance.
2) A special one-way safety valve is used to keep the internal pressure of the battery at a certain balance, and to suppress the external gas (O2) from entering the battery to corrode the negative grid. The valve opening pressure is 18-23Kpa, the valve closing pressure is not less than 8Kpa, and there is an acid filter to keep the electrolyte concentration constant.
3) An ultra-fine glass fiber separator with a porosity of more than 90% is used to adsorb a certain amount of electrolyte to achieve a lean liquid design, and leave enough gas channels to allow the gas to recombine inside. 4)
The excess of active material on the negative plate is 10%, which is enough to recombine the oxygen evolution of the positive electrode, so that the negative electrode is always in a charging reaction to prevent hydrogen evolution and salinization.
The battery is sealed when the above four conditions are met.
