  • CE certification of LED lamps provides unified technical specifications for products from various countries to trade in the European market and simplifies trade procedures. Products from any country must be CE certified to enter the EU and the European Free Trade Area, and the CE mark must be affixed to the product. Therefore, CE certification is a pass for products to enter the EU and European Free Trade Area countries. CE certification indicates that the product has met the safety requirements stipulated in the EU directives; it is a commitment made by the company to consumers, which increases consumers' trust in the product; products with the CE mark will reduce the risk of being sold in the European market. In particular, CE certification must be handled by a notified body authorized by the EU. These risks include:

    · Risk of being detained and investigated by customs;

    · Risk of being investigated and punished by market supervision agencies;

    · Risk of being accused by peers for competitive purposes.

    CE certification testing of LED lamps

    The main test points for the LED lamp CE certification test project (all lamp products are of the same standard) are the following five aspects: EMC-EN55015, EMC-EN61547, LVD-EN60598, if it is an LVD with a rectifier, it is generally EN61347, EN61000-3-2/-3 (harmonic testing).

    CE is composed of EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) + LVD (low voltage directive). EMC also includes EMI (interference) + EMC (anti-interference). LVD is SAFETY in layman's terms. Generally, low-voltage products with AC less than 50V and DC less than 75V do not need to undergo LVD projects. Low-voltage products only need to test EMC and issue CE-EMC certificates. High-voltage products need to test EMC and LVD, and issue two certificates and reports: CE-EMC CE-LVD.

    EMC (battery compatibility)--EMC test standards (EN55015, EN61547), the test items include the following aspects: 1. radiation 2. conduction 3. SD static electricity 4. CS conduction anti-interference 5. RS radiation anti-interference 6. EFT pulse.

    LVD (Low Voltage Directive) - LVD test standard (EN60598), the test items include the following aspects: 1. Fault (test) 2. Impact 3. Vibration 4. Shock 5. Electrical clearance 6. Creepage distance 7. Electric shock 8. Heat 9. Overload 10. Temperature rise test.

    CE is a mark that indicates that the product has complied with European safety, health, environmental protection, hygiene and other standards and directives. All products sold in the EU market must be CE certified.
