Seiko Epson has reportedly developed a reflective high-temperature polysilicon TFT liquid crystal panel and has now begun mass production.
Reflective high-temperature polysilicon TFT LCD panels are used as display components for LCD projectors . The screen size is 0.74 inches and the number of pixels is 1920×1080 (Full HD). The company has been mass-producing transmissive high-temperature polysilicon TFT LCD panels, with cumulative shipments reaching 60 million. The mass production of reflective panels is a "world first" (Seiko Epson).

The product developed this time is based on the structure of high-temperature polysilicon TFT liquid crystal panels, and the transparent electrode is replaced with a reflective electrode. In addition to optimizing the inorganic alignment film "C2FINE" technology used in the VA method for reflective liquid crystal panels, the reflective electrode layer is flattened to the maximum extent through the company's independently developed technology, thereby suppressing light scattering. In the end, the panel contrast achieved more than 100,000:1.
