The spindle is an important part of the lathe, and plays an important role in improving processing efficiency, expanding the range of processing materials, and improving processing quality. At present, there are two main types of continuously variable speed systems: variable frequency spindle system and servo spindle system, which generally use DC or AC spindle motors. The spindle is driven to rotate through a belt drive, or through a belt drive and a reduction gear in the spindle box (to obtain greater torque). Since the spindle motor has a wide speed regulation range and can be steplessly regulated, the structure of the spindle box is greatly simplified. Due to the high cost-effectiveness of the inverter, the inverter is very commonly used on lathes. WIN-V63 series inverter can meet the needs of CNC machine tools for continuously variable speed of the main drive system. According to the application characteristics of machine tool electric spindles, the WIN-V63 series inverter developed and produced by Micro-Energy Technology is used. The power of the inverter is basically 2.2KW3.7KW, 5.5KW, 7.5KW, 11KW, 15KW, 18.5KW, 22KW, 30KW.

1) Main circuit wiring diagram
In the application of machine tool electric spindle, fast acceleration and deceleration are required, and the dynamic braking function must be used. The WIN-V63 series 45KW and below have built-in braking units, so there is no need to use external braking units. You only need to use external braking resistors according to the brake resistor selection suggestions in Chapter 8 of the "WIN-V63 User Manual" attached to the machine to achieve the dynamic braking function.

Remove the motor load, press the inverter JOG key to jog the motor, and stop the motor immediately after confirming the direction of rotation.
