On March 20, 2012, the Department of Transportation of Guizhou Province held an appraisal meeting for the project results of "Research and Application of LED Light Dimming Control System Based on Management Demand" in Guiyang. Experts and scholars from the Highway Research Institute of the Ministry of Transportation, China Communications First Institute, China Communications Second Institute and other units participated in the acceptance and appraisal of the project. At the meeting, the experts listened to the project team report, reviewed the relevant materials, watched the relevant videos and the simulation demonstration of the LED stepless dimming lighting system, and questioned the relevant issues. After careful discussion, the expert group came to the conclusion that "the research results of the project have reached the international advanced level".
The lighting project of Gelong Tunnel on Xiarong Expressway was completed on March 30, 2011. As a supporting project of the scientific research project of Guizhou Provincial Department of Transportation, it conducted a historic comparison between LED stepless dimming and LED graded dimming for the first time in the field of highway tunnel lighting. According to the on-site test of the National Traffic Safety Facilities Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, LED stepless dimming lighting saves 34.7% energy compared with LED graded dimming lighting.
The successful development of LED intelligent dimming lighting system has completely overturned the traditional road and highway tunnel lighting mode, not only greatly reducing lighting energy consumption while ensuring safety, but also saving more than 60% of cable investment and extending the service life of lamps by 2 times, realizing the desire to save both electricity and money.
