Some experience in designing low-power switching power supplies

The design of low-power switching power supplies often requires full AC range operation. They are commonly found in high-power power supplies or auxiliary power supplies for household appliances, the 5VSB output part of industrial control power supplies, the power supply part of PLC control, independent low-power module power supplies, and so on.

I would like to summarize some of my personal experiences as follows. Everyone is welcome to comment. The important thing is communication!

1. Design method: mostly with the help of integrated PWM chip (including power MOS), or discrete pulse width modulation IC + power MOS; the line topology is mostly single-ended flyback and single-ended forward;

2. In module power supplies, magnetic materials are mostly EE, EFD, EPC (19-30) series.

3. AC/DC conversion low-power control ICs that I have used: Infineon x65 series; PI company TOP series; ST company VIP series; Lingte 1105; ACT series; ....

4. The design of DC/DC low-power power supply often uses the 384x series for isolation design;

5. There are many ICs used in the design of DC/DC low-power non-isolated power supplies. I have personally used the 34063; 494; 2576 series.
