Many Android phones use OLED screens, such as Nexus One and Droid Incredible. OLED screens are divided into many tiny pixels, and there are many color channels in the screen. In the test, we found that the red channel area is the most power-saving. If the unit power consumed by the phone is "i" in the red channel working mode, then the green channel working mode is "1.5i", and the blue channel working mode becomes "2i".

If we take them out separately and let the screen display only one of the colors, and then count their power consumption, what will the result be? We set the phone to flight mode and turn off GPS , and use a software called Surf aceFlinger to test the image display power consumption. We can find that the data in the red mode is in the leading position, and the power consumption of the browser, map and other functions is the lowest.

In the same period of time, the screen in red mode only consumes 42% of the total power, which is the shortest time among all modes. Although such a test does not represent the official structure, it is still convincing.
