Eight easy steps to install a home camera:
1. Choose the location to install the camera. This needs to be selected according to the needs of the site and the situation. No one else can help you. Take out the surveillance camera bracket and prepare the tools and parts: expansion plugs, screws, screwdrivers, hammers, electric drills and other necessary tools; according to the pre-determined installation location, check the size of the expansion plugs and self-tapping screws, test whether the screws of the bracket screws and the camera base are suitable, whether the pre-buried pipeline interface is handled well, and whether the test cable is unobstructed. After ready, enter the installation procedure. Under the condition of meeting the requirements of the field of view of the monitoring target, the installation height: indoors should not be less than 2.5m from the ground; outdoors should not be less than 3.5m from the ground.
2. When installing the surveillance camera, carefully install the lens according to the predetermined camera lens model and specifications (infrared integrated cameras do not need to install lenses), be careful not to touch the lens CCD (sensor) with your hands, and after confirming that it is firmly fixed, turn on the power, connect the host or use a monitor, small TV, etc. on site to adjust the aperture and focal length.
3. Fix the surveillance camera, take out the bracket, expansion plug, screws, screwdriver, hammer, electric drill and other tools, install the bracket according to the pre-determined position. After checking that it is firm, install the camera in the agreed direction.
4. Installation of the camera cover. If you need to install a cover, start installing the cover directly from here after the second step. 1. Open the cover cover and the rear baffle; 2. Pull out the fixing metal sheet and fix the camera; 3. Install the power adapter into the cover; 4. Reset the cover cover and the rear baffle, straighten the cables, fix them, and install them on the bracket.
5. Install the camera BNC head or aviation head, insert the welded video cable BNC plug into the video cable socket, and make sure it is firmly fixed. The surveillance camera and its supporting devices, such as lenses, protective covers, brackets, wipers, etc., should be firmly installed, operate flexibly, be protected from damage, and be coordinated with the surrounding environment.
6. Connect the power supply, insert the power output plug of the power adapter into the power socket of the surveillance camera, and confirm the firmness. In a strong electromagnetic interference environment, the surveillance camera should be installed in an insulated manner from the ground.
7. Connect the video host and connect the other end of the cable to the control host or monitor (TV), making sure it is secure.
8. Adjust the camera to the best position, turn on the power of the monitoring host and camera, and adjust the camera angle to the predetermined range through the monitor. In addition, the installation of all control, display, recording and other terminal equipment of the monitoring camera should be stable and easy to operate. The monitor (screen) should avoid direct external light. When it is unavoidable, light-proof measures should be taken. Equipment installed in the console and cabinet (rack) should have ventilation and heat dissipation measures, and the internal connectors and equipment should be firmly connected.
Install the video surveillance camera. Follow the above eight steps and a simple simulated video surveillance system will be completed. Customers with no installation experience and security novices don't have to worry or be afraid. If the installation does not display normally according to the above steps, first check if there is a problem with the wiring. If there is no problem, then find the camera itself and power it on for testing. Sometimes if the image is blurry, it may be that the wiring is not done well. If it is an explosion-proof video surveillance system, it is best to have professional engineers install it. This money cannot be saved. Explosion-proof video surveillance is related to the safe production environment. You can't joke about it casually, otherwise who will cover it if an accident occurs. The above experience and steps for installing surveillance cameras are limited to home use and the installation of some small surveillance systems.
