Wearable technology will be the "next big thing" in the tech world, and Nokia has made it clear that the company is interested in entering this field. Although the mobile phone manufacturer has not revealed much about its plans, the company has been quite active in submitting related patents. The latest exposed patent documents show that Nokia is considering an interactive system that will combine near-eye display (NED) and gesture/gaze tracking.

The system uses a camera to track eye movements, and a secondary camera to track gestures (when eye movements are not obvious).

This multimodal interaction system looks very similar to the wearable device Google Glass launched in 2012. Through a head-mounted display, the smart glasses can easily take photos and videos and then share them with friends or websites. You can also read emails, find out the weather, and even do Google searches.

However, Nokia has not yet revealed when it will launch a similar product.
