The third-generation automotive TDDI HX83195 series once again breaks through the limits of large-size and high-resolution automotive display screens, providing an excellent touch experience
With the continuous improvement of technology, Himax's third-generation TDDI HX83195 series has quickly become the preferred solution for European, American and Asian car manufacturers since its launch, and has been fully introduced in the latest car designs. Geely Group's high-end electric car brand Zeekr became the world's first brand to adopt HX83195, taking the lead in introducing 16-inch 3.2K x 2K high-resolution display panels and officially entering mass production in the third quarter.
HX83195 has the following advanced features:
• The world's first four-chip TDDI connection: The HX83195 series uses four-chip TDDI connection technology to support automotive display touch screens up to 30 inches
• Support dynamic display refresh rate: Himax’s unique chip design can dynamically adjust the refresh rate according to the display content, greatly improving the display effect while reducing power consumption
• Industry-leading touch sampling rate for real-time touch response: Himax combines its own highly efficient touch algorithm with a faster computing core design to significantly shorten touch response time and provide a real-time, delay-free operation experience
• Supports the industry's latest panel touch multi-tasking technology: at appropriate resolution, the effective touch area is doubled, reducing chip usage costs
• Intuitive human-machine interface design: Supports independent capacitive buttons outside the display screen, as well as external knob design on the display screen, improving the flexibility and humanization of the car cabin design
• Comply with high-level automotive safety standards: Designed according to ISO26262 safety standards, fully supporting the latest safety requirements of global car manufacturers
Himax worked closely with a leading Korean OLED panel manufacturer to jointly launch the HX8530 series, which meets the most stringent automotive standards. It was successfully mass-produced in the third quarter and was first used in the top electric MPVs of Chinese auto brands.
HX8530 has the following advanced features:
• Supports multiple touch channel configurations: Up to 3 ICs can be connected in series to support a variety of automotive OLED display sizes, from 7-inch small control panels to 50-inch column-to-column displays, providing high flexibility for automotive interior design
• High OLED screen compatibility: Fully supports rigid or flexible OLED panels, suitable for various special-shaped and curved automotive display designs, meeting diverse display design needs
• Equipped with high-performance, breakthrough touch algorithm: the touch response rate can reach 240Hz, and supports 10 fingers to touch at the same time, with the highest signal-to-noise ratio in the industry
• Provide high-standard EMC and noise suppression: Using Himax’s exclusive technology, effectively suppress the noise interference of the display module and comply with the automotive CISPR 25 Class 5 standard to meet the EMC testing needs of car manufacturers
• Intuitive human-machine interface design: Supports independent capacitive buttons outside the display screen, and can directly plug in knobs on the touch screen, providing greater design flexibility and improving the humanization and aesthetic design of the car cabin
• Safety-oriented design: Designed according to ISO26262 safety standards, fully supporting the latest safety requirements of global car manufacturers
