b) This instrument has a simple structure and mainly consists of a host machine and a washing cylinder.
c) The host consists of a body, a motor, a motor driving part, a time controller, etc.;
d) Time and speed are adjustable;
e) You can use the Jog function to adjust the cylinder mouth upward.
f) STM292 dry cleaning and washing cylinder is applicable to the following standards (or methods):
AATCC 162 16 CFR Part 1610.6
g) Regarding fabric dry cleaning methods (refer to AATCC 162_2008) (see Appendix 1)
h) Instrument test standards/methods (see Appendix 2)
Appendix 1: Fabric dry cleaning methods (refer to AATCC 162_2002)
1. The dry cleaning method mentioned here refers to cleaning yarn or fabric under a certain environment (such as a certain temperature, time, pH value and hardness).
Immerse in dilute chlorine solution and shake at a certain rate.
2. Wring out the dry-cleaned fabric and blot it dry with filter paper, and then evaluate the color fastness.
3. Reagent preparation: Add 5ppm chlorine and 100ppm salt to 5000mL distilled or deionized water, then add sodium carbonate and acetic acid to prepare a reagent solution with a pH value of 7.0. The solution temperature is 21°C.
4. Test sample: The sample size is about 6x6cm. Total weight 5.0g±0.25g, including control cloth. If the total weight of a single sample is less than 5g, multiple layers can be used. Samples of different colors can be mixed together to make a total load of 5.0g.
5. Test steps:
5.1 Clean the cylinder: Add about 5000mL deionized water and 0.5mL sodium hypochlorite (5.25%) into the cylinder, cover the cylinder cover, run for about 10 minutes, and then pour out the solution. Cleaning of the cylinder is only necessary if other tests have been performed or if it has not been used for more than two weeks.
5.2 Configure hardness concentrated reagent
-Weigh 8.24g calcium chloride anhydrous (CaCl2) and 5.07g magnesium chloride hexahydrate;
- Add 800mL of deionized or distilled water to a 1L graduated measuring cup, add the above calcium chloride and magnesium chloride, stir while adding, and then make up 1L with water. This is the "Hardness Concentrate Reagent" and can be kept for 30 days.
5.4 Dilute 51mL of "Hardness Concentrated Reagent" with deionized or distilled water to 5100mL, and then add 0.5mL of sodium hypochlorite. Determine the actual ppm Cl value and adjust to 5 ppm by titration.
5.5 Prepare a reagent solution with a pH value of 7.0 by adding sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) and acetic acid (CH3COOH).
5.6 Add 5000mL of the solution configured in 5.4 above into the cylinder, and adjust the solution temperature to 21°C.
5.7 Put the test sample and control cloth into the cylinder together and run for 60 minutes.
5.8 Take out the sample and control cloth, and use a rolling mill to squeeze out the solution. Rinse thoroughly with deionized or distilled water. Then wring it out and place on bleached, absorbent paper towels at room temperature to dry.
5.9 At this point, the entire dry cleaning process ends.
Note: If the sample is prepared for combustion testing, it may also need to be washed before testing, such as 16 CFR Part 1610.
Please refer to the corresponding test standards for specific details.

AATCC 162 - 2002 is used to evaluate the color fastness of various dyed, printed, or other dyed yarns and fabrics after immersion in swimming pool water 6x6cm, total weight 5g ± 0.25g, including control cloth. If the total weight of a single sample is less than 5g, multiple layers can be used. Add 5ppm chlorine and 100ppm salt to 5000mL distilled or deionized water, then add sodium carbonate and acetic acid to prepare a reagent solution with a pH value of 7.0. The solution temperature is 21°C. Rolling time: 60min
16 CFR Part 1610 - 2008 is used for dry cleaning test samples for combustion tests. The samples must be dry cleaned with 50x150mm commercial grade perchlorethylene and cationic detergent before washing.
Cleaning time: 10-15min
Drying time: 3min
Drying temperature: 60-66℃
Drying time: 18-20min
Cooling and deodorization time: 5min
