Nowadays, touch screen displays have been widely used in our daily lives, from smartphones and laptops to smart TVs and vehicle navigation systems. Touch screen displays are improving the experience and functionality of devices for users. Even NASA uses touch screen displays on its latest spacecraft to perform most operations. So the life of an "oscilloscope" is incomplete without a touch screen!
In 2017, we introduced
the MSO5 oscilloscope, designed for touch interfaces
. "When we introduced an oscilloscope with touchscreen capabilities, we told engineers it would give them the same smooth experience they were experiencing with a tablet," said David Pereles, technical marketing manager at Tektronix. The MSO5 is also the first oscilloscope to offer eight FlexChannel™ inputs, which allow signals to be converted from analog to digital simply by changing probes.
MSO 5 Series
Since the launch of the MSO5 oscilloscope, Tektronix has been regularly releasing firmware updates, adding new features and options, including new application software, to keep our oscilloscopes growing. It is this continuous product update that protects the value of customers' investment and ensures that Tektronix touch screen oscilloscopes can adapt to the future and cope with various complex test tasks.
Since its growth, Tektronix touch screen oscilloscopes have provided solutions for common test standards and supported various embedded systems, digital protocols, high-speed serial PHY layers, power measurement, broadband RF analysis, etc. to meet a series of needs in many applications and industries.
Here is a paragraph
The growth history of touch screen oscilloscopes
In 2018, just one year after the launch of the MSO5, Tektronix launched the MSO6 Series, a higher performance oscilloscope with excellent noise performance. It is the first mid-range oscilloscope with 8GHz bandwidth and 25 GS/s sampling rate on all 4 channels simultaneously. It also integrates a new low-noise preamplifier ASIC, the TEK061, and provides 16-bit resolution in high-resolution mode at 220MHz.
MSO 6 Series
This series was relaunched in 2020 with the MSO6B series with up to 8 channels and up to 10GHz. It now features leading signal fidelity with a 12-bit ADC and industry-leading noise performance, generating less than 52 μV of noise at 1 mV/div and 1 GH.
In 2019, the MSO4 Series was launched, featuring the largest display (13.3 inches), ultra-high resolution (1920 x 1080 HD), 12-bit ADC and the highest vertical resolution in its class. It is also the first oscilloscope in its class to offer six input channels using the innovative FlexChannel™ technology.
MSO 4 Series
In 2021, the TekDrive + TekScope software companion was created to help engineers work remotely from anywhere. Users can simultaneously view and analyze complex waveform data from up to 32 channels from multiple oscilloscopes on the same interface.
TekScope PC Software
In January 2022, the MSO5B Series was launched, including a series of updates, including a new auxiliary trigger input that allows synchronization without occupying a full-function input channel . Other features include a built-in function generator with a 2x faster waveform speed for frequency response analysis and general purpose, and a solid-state drive system that stores data on a removable drive for added security.
MSO 5B Series
Since 2017, Tektronix has added support for more than 20 serial protocols, common physical layer compliance tests, jitter analysis and advanced single-phase and three-phase power measurements.
