All electronic measuring instruments need to be self-checked and self-calibrated after a certain period of use, just like mobile phones. If the memory is not cleaned or upgraded regularly, the phone will freeze. Regular maintenance and care of the instrument can not only extend the service life of the instrument, but also make you more comfortable when operating it. Oscilloscopes are a relatively high-frequency electronic measuring instrument used by engineers in their daily lives, so how should Tektronix oscilloscopes self-check?
The following are the steps for the self-test of the Tektronix oscilloscope shared by Antai Test:
Step 1: Remove all probes, converters, and signal connections from the oscilloscope.
Step 2: Turn on the oscilloscope and warm it up for about 15 minutes. Usually temperature differences will affect the oscilloscope's self-calibration.
Step 3: Select the main interface menu to enter Utilities and open the secondary menu.
Step 4: Enter the secondary menu in step 3 and click "Instrument Calibration" or a button with a similar name.
Step 5: Wait, after SPC calibration passes, it will display "Pass". Check the oscilloscope status, select Run SPC, and wait for about a quarter of an hour to complete.
After some time of waiting, if the following screen appears:
Congratulations, you passed. So far, it can be basically determined that the oscilloscope is normal. Click the Menu Off key twice in succession, and you can see the following figure:
Otherwise, the instrument is faulty and requires repair.

Regular SPC testing can not only detect instrument failures in a timely manner, but also improve the accuracy of the test. The key is that it does not require any auxiliary facilities and is completely free of cost, but it only takes a little of your precious time.
