The new basic model of the R&S FPH handheld spectrum analyzer provides spectrum analysis capabilities up to 44 GHz. The R&S FPH combines the functionality of a benchtop instrument with the portability of a handheld instrument and features intuitive functions for fast and easy high-performance measurements at any time.
Recently, Rohde & Schwarz (hereinafter referred to as "R&S") has added a new basic model with a measurement frequency of up to 44 GHz to the existing frequency range of its popular R&S FPH handheld spectrum analyzer series (i.e. 5 kHz to 6, 13.6 and 26.5 GHz). In addition, three new tracking generators have been launched with a frequency range of up to 13.6, 26.5 and 44 GHz.
R&S FPH is the industry's first handheld spectrum analyzer with a capacitive touch screen, which demonstrates stable RF performance and high accuracy in both field and laboratory measurements. The large buttons and multi-touch gesture screen are very easy to operate. The new spectrum analyzer R&S FPH has higher frequency models to perform a wider range of measurement tasks. R&S FPH has a high sensitivity of –160 dBm and a typical measurable accuracy of 0.5 dB in the frequency range of 10 MHz to 3 GHz, providing excellent RF performance. The new model also supports field applications such as verifying 5G, broadcasting, radar, defense and satellite communication links.
The 44 GHz model of the R&S FPH weighs only 3.2 kg and has been optimized and improved for more flexible and convenient mobile use. With a battery life of up to 4.5 hours, this model is the longest-lasting 44 GHz handheld spectrum analyzer to support field missions. The keyboard of this model has a backlight function, so the operator can work freely even in dark environments. The low reflectivity of the screen supports working in daylight mode, which improves the visibility under strong light.
This handheld spectrum analyzer series is equipped with a large capacitive touch screen, which makes it easy and intuitive to adjust settings such as frequency, span and reference level, and set markers. In addition, large buttons and a practical multi-function wheel make it easy for users to operate it in outdoor environments while wearing gloves. The analyzer can be remotely controlled via USB or LAN. For added convenience, the MobileView App for iOS or Android is also available to achieve seamless remote control of the device.
The R&S FPH handheld spectrum analyzer is part of the R&S Essentials portfolio. All models are currently available from R&S and selected distribution partners.
