1. Single-port calibration
Calibration Purpose:
Single-port calibration can eliminate the reflection tracking error, directivity error and source matching error of the port, thereby improving the measurement accuracy of the instrument.
Calibration steps:
1. Prepare the calibration kit, open circuit, short circuit, and load calibration components.
2. Press the reset button to reset the instrument.
3. Then set the frequency band to be tested and set the start and end frequencies.
4. Press Cal to enter the calibration interface, press Calkit to select the calibration kit model, and then select Calibrate > 1-Port Cal to perform single-port calibration.
5. Then connect the open circuit, short circuit, and load in the calibration parts to the No. 1 port of the instrument in order, and click the open button after connecting the open circuit calibration part, replace the short circuit calibration part, click the short button, and finally replace the load calibration part, click the Load button, and then click the Done button. The calibration is completed.
2. Dual-port calibration
Calibration Purpose:
Two-port calibration is performed by connecting the calibration kit to the two ports to be tested.
The directivity error, crosstalk, source matching error, frequency response reflection tracking error and frequency response transmission tracking error of the port transmission or reflection can be eliminated.
Calibration steps:
1. Prepare the calibration kit, open circuit, short circuit, and load calibration components.
2. Press Cal to enter the calibration interface, select the calibration model, then select Calibrate>2-Port Cal, and select Reflection.
3. Then connect the open circuit, short circuit and load in the calibration parts to port 1 of the instrument in order, and click the open button after connecting the open circuit calibration part, replace it with the short circuit calibration part, click the short button, and finally replace it with the load calibration part, click the Load button, and then click the Done button.
4. Select Return, return to the previous page, and directly connect port 1 and port 2. Select Transmission, select Thru, then Return, select Done, and the calibration is complete.
