  The magnetic flap level gauge is a commonly used instrument for measuring the liquid level in tanks and other containers. It can display the liquid level locally without any electrical equipment. Of course, it can also be equipped with a reed switch remote transmitter to achieve long-distance signal transmission. The liquid level indication of the magnetic flap level gauge is achieved through the display panel, also called the magnetic indicator, which is bundled on the outer surface of the main measuring tube of the magnetic flap level gauge. It has the characteristics of eye-catching indication, intuitive reading, and good long-sighted effect. Because it is very convenient to monitor the liquid level, it is deeply favored by instrument users and is widely used in various fields such as petroleum and chemical industry.


  Normally, during the production process, factory workers need to regularly check the operating conditions of on-site equipment, among which the liquid level check of storage containers is an indispensable part, especially the liquid level check of highly toxic, flammable and explosive chemical storage tanks, which has always been the focus of safety work. During the inspection tour, workers hope to see the liquid level number indicated by the liquid level meter installed on the equipment - the magnetic flap level gauge at a distance or a large range, so that they can understand the liquid level status of the medium in the tank at the first time to ensure production safety. This puts forward higher technical standards for the magnetic flap level gauge, requiring the scale numbers displayed on the panel to be clear, eye-catching, and have good long-sightedness. However, there are many shortcomings in the design of traditional panels, which are far from meeting the needs of instrument users.

  As shown in Figure 1, from the comparison of the two panels, it can be seen that the viewing angle of the lower panel in the figure is much larger than that of the upper panel. The size of the traditional panel A is narrow, and the groove below the A part is the space for installing the sealed strip glass. Due to the narrow size of the A part, it is easy to block the flipping of the inner flap of the panel, resulting in a smaller visual range, which brings inconvenience to the staff to timely judge the liquid level in the tank and other containers.

  To this end, Jiwei Automation engineers combined the characteristics and shortcomings of existing products on the market and made innovative designs for the products. While ensuring that the scale numbers on the display panel are clear and eye-catching, the visual range is further expanded, so that the liquid level displayed by the magnetic flap level gauge can be observed from a distance and within a wider viewing angle. This design has achieved good results in application. Jiwei has now applied for and obtained a national utility model patent for this innovative design, with the patent number: 201621192459.7. This utility model patent discloses a method for increasing the viewing angle of a display panel.


  Jiwei engineers analyzed the structure of the panel and made a series of innovative designs and improvements. They widened the size of part A and retracted the structure of part A to both sides, so that the flap components were more exposed to the outside, and the liquid level of the magnetic flap level gauge could be observed in a wider viewing angle. At the same time, because part B was retracted to the edge, the contact area of ​​the glass seal was reduced, which brought risks to the glass seal. For this reason, the lower side of the extended section of part B was changed to an upward bevel structure, as shown in Figure 2. This is conducive to squeezing more glue into the glass when sealing, and improving the sealing of the display panel. This improvement increases the visual effect of the display panel indication and improves the appearance of the display panel. It is both beautiful and of outstanding quality, and is deeply favored by users.
