● ADLINK's ultra-compact edge data acquisition solutions MCM-216/218 are stand-alone DAQ devices that can be used to measure voltage and current without a host PC
● MCM-216/218 data acquisition system based on ARM Cortex-A9 processor, with built-in 16 or 8 channels, 16-bit analog voltage or current input, is very suitable for 24-hour sensor measurement and condition monitoring related applications in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
● MCM-216/218 supports distributed and remote data acquisition, edge analysis, and SCADA systems
Shanghai, China – July 15, 2021
ADLINK Technology, a leading global provider of edge computing solutions, has launched the new MCM-216/218 edge DAQ data acquisition solution, further expanding the MCM-210 standalone Ethernet data acquisition series. The MCM-216/218 Ethernet data acquisition is based on the ARM Cortex-A9 processor, with built-in 16 or 8 channels of 16 bits, providing test measurements of voltage or current inputs, and can be used as a standalone edge device without a host PC. The standalone edge DAQ data acquisition system MCM-216/218 supports edge computing, and has a built-in web console and RESTful API interface for periodic machine status polling.
“These two new models represent the next generation of DAQ solutions on the market, further expanding ADLINK’s edge data acquisition portfolio and are ideally suited for 24/7 sensor measurement and condition monitoring in Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) applications,” said Jeremy Wu, director of ADLINK’s IoT Solutions and Technology Division.
ADLINK's MCM-216/218 data acquisition systems are simple, scalable, and sustainable edge devices that address the challenges of large-scale deployment in IIoT applications. Dual daisy-chain Ethernet ports reduce the need for additional network devices and extend the available distance, thereby reducing total cost of ownership (TCO) and improving overall return on investment (ROI). ADLINK's successful application cases for the same series of products include semiconductor factory digitization, petrochemical plant monitoring, and wafer feeder vacuum pump monitoring.
ADLINK's MCM-216/218 stand-alone edge DAQ data acquisition solutions eliminate the complexity and additional costs of embedded systems.
● Break through distance limitations for distributed and remote collection
● Convert data into information for edge analysis
● Rich connectivity, making it easier to transfer data to backend servers or SCADA systems
The MCM-216/218 models further expand the MCM-210 series, providing complete DAQ solutions for factory automation, IIoT, and traditional test and measurement applications. These two simple and scalable edge devices can solve the challenges of large-scale deployment of IIoT applications.
