First generation spectrum analyzers
In 1964, HP released the first generation of spectrum analyzer with a frequency range of 10MHz to 10GHz and a span of 2GHz.

Frequency Domain Oscilloscope
In 1969, HP released a frequency domain oscilloscope based on the 141T mainframe, which could be loaded with the 8554 RF module and the 8552 IF module.

Automated Spectrum Analyzer 8580A
HP released the first generation of automated spectrum analyzer, the 8580A, in 1972.

The first generation of digital spectrum analyzer 8568A
HP released the first generation of digital spectrum analyzer 8568A in 1978, with a frequency as high as 1500MHz.
