The turbine flowmeter consists of a turbine, a bearing, a preamplifier, and a display instrument. The internal structure of the turbine flowmeter for measuring liquids and measuring gas instruments is different. Since gases are greatly affected by temperature and pressure, temperature and pressure compensation devices are generally required when measuring gases with higher temperatures to improve the accuracy of the measurement data. When the measured fluid impacts the turbine blades, the turbine rotates, and the speed of the turbine changes with the flow rate. That is, the larger the flow rate, the larger the speed of the turbine. The magnetoelectric conversion device converts the speed of the turbine into an electrical pulse of the corresponding frequency. After amplification by the preamplifier, it is sent to the display instrument for counting and display. The instantaneous flow rate and the cumulative flow rate can be calculated based on the number of pulses and the cumulative number of pulses per unit time. Most customers choose the flange connection installation type, and they can directly connect it to the flange on the pipeline when they go back, but we still have some small requirements for wiring and installation that need to be paid attention to.
1. Wiring requirements for turbine flowmeter
1. Use a complete cable as much as possible.
2. The wiring position of the turbine flowmeter should be as far away from the source of electrical noise as possible (such as high-power transformers, motors, and strong power lines) and should avoid wiring parallel to the power supply line.
3. It is recommended to use non-soldering clamping lugs at the end of thick wires.
4. For areas with strong external magnetic fields, the axis of the detection device should be perpendicular to the magnetic flux direction of the external magnetic field or the flow sensor or external source should be shielded with high magnetic permeability materials.
5. In order to prevent waterproofing and mechanical damage, it is best to install the cable in a metal conduit, but there should be no high-power transmission cables in the same conduit (when the maximum power transmitted by a transmission cable is 10 times greater than the minimum power transmitted by the flow meter signal cable, the two cannot be installed in the same conduit).
6. The connection of the explosion-proof turbine flowmeter sensor cable must strictly comply with the relevant standards of the explosion-proof amplifier.
2. Precautions for the installation of turbine flowmeter
: 1. The power cord of the transmitter uses a metal shielded wire, and the grounding must be good and reliable. The power supply is DC 24V, 650Ω impedance.
2. The transmitter should be installed horizontally, avoid vertical installation, and ensure that there are suitable straight pipe sections before and after it, generally 10D in front and 5D in the back.
3. Ensure that the flow direction of the fluid is consistent with the arrow direction of the instrument housing, and it must not be installed in reverse.
4. The measured medium should not corrode the turbine, especially the bearings, otherwise measures should be taken.
5. Be careful not to collide with the magnetic induction part.
