Orifice flowmeter is a commonly used flow meter that can measure the flow of gas, steam, liquid and lead, and is widely used in process control and measurement in the fields of petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, electricity, heating, water supply, etc. Today, the editor mainly introduces the maintenance points of orifice flowmeter, hoping to help users better apply the product.

Maintenance points of orifice flowmeter:

1. When measuring liquid pressure, the transmitter should be installed in a location that avoids liquid impact (water hammer phenomenon) to prevent the sensor from being damaged by overpressure.

2. When wiring, pass the cable through the waterproof connector (accessory) or the flexible tube and tighten the sealing nut to prevent rainwater from leaking into the transmitter housing through the cable.

3. When freezing occurs in winter, the orifice flowmeter installed outdoors must take pressure anti-freezing measures to prevent the liquid in the pressure inlet from expanding due to freezing and causing damage to the sensor.

4. Prevent slag from settling in the conduit;

5. When measuring liquid pressure, the pressure tapping port should be opened on the side of the process pipeline to avoid sedimentation and slag accumulation.

6. The pressure pipe should be installed in a place with small temperature fluctuation;

7. When measuring gas pressure, the pressure tapping port should be opened at the top of the process pipeline, and the transmitter should also be installed on the upper part of the process pipeline so that the accumulated liquid can be easily injected into the process pipeline.

8. Prevent the orifice flowmeter from contacting with corrosive or overheated media;

9. When measuring steam or other high-temperature media, a buffer tube (coil) or other condenser must be connected to prevent the operating temperature of the transmitter from exceeding the limit.

Only correct installation and protection of the orifice flowmeter can ensure the application effect of the orifice flowmeter.
