However, while the Windows operating system brings us many advantages, it also brings us some inconveniences. Many users feel that the spectrum analyzer of Windows system boots up slowly, so what is the reason? In fact, it is very simple. Just like the PC we use in daily life, the slow boot speed is mainly because there are too many startup items loaded. Many of us can use some tools to optimize the startup items of our PC to increase the boot speed. Similarly, the spectrum analyzer can also optimize the boot speed by configuring the startup items.
Take Keysight's (formerly Agilent) X-series spectrum analyzer as an example. After powering on, the instrument first starts the Windows system and then runs the spectrum analyzer's firmware "LaunchXSA.exe". The Windows operating system that comes with the spectrum analyzer has been optimized, with few startup items and a faster speed. The instrument will then automatically start its firmware "LaunchXSA.exe", and when starting the firmware, it will preload various application options installed by the spectrum analyzer, such as the WCDMA option, Phase Noise option, and so on. If the user does not optimize and installs many application options, the startup speed will be greatly affected. In fact, most users generally only use one or a few specific measurement options in a certain period of time, so there is no need to load all options at the same time when starting up. You can optimize the startup items of the spectrum analyzer and speed up the startup process by following these simple steps:
Step 1: When the spectrum analyzer is working, press "System - Power On - Power On Application" and select your default startup option. This option should be the first option you use every time you start the analyzer.
By optimizing the above steps and paying attention to virus protection, the startup speed of your spectrum analyzer can be greatly improved.
