MESSRING builds crash testing, data collection and calibration facilities for GSK Protech

MESSRING, headquartered in Germany, has planned and equipped a state-of-the-art dummy calibration laboratory for its Nanjing customer GSK Protech. Testing the airbags and electronic components of its own products is crucial for the Chinese supplier, which is why GSK Protech decided at the end of 2012 to build a full-scale crash test facility with a laboratory for automated sensor calibration at a new location in eastern China.

 

GSK Protech has successfully launched a complete range of state-of-the-art InDummy systems (M=BUS series from MESSRING) that significantly increase productivity levels. All measuring instruments, test benches including crash tests, and calibration systems are managed using the centralized software package CrashSoft, which plays a key role in ensuring data security and quality and is unique in China.

 

GSK Protech's extensive MESSRING test rigs are used to precisely calibrate the individual dummies. These devices drop objects of a defined weight onto the impact site of the dummy.

 

The testing facility operated by GSK Protech in Nanjing is one of the most modern and largest of its kind in China.

 

MESSRING, based in Krailling near Munich, Germany, is a world-leading manufacturer of crash test systems and components. It has built more than 10 large-scale crash test facilities in China in the past few years.
