Signal generators , also known as signal sources or oscillators, are widely used in production practice and science and technology. Various waveform curves can be expressed by trigonometric function equations. A circuit that can generate a variety of waveforms, such as triangular waves, sawtooth waves, rectangular waves (including square waves), and sine waves, is called a function signal generator . Function signal generators have a wide range of uses in circuit experiments and equipment testing. For example, in communications, broadcasting, and television systems, radio frequency (high frequency) transmission is required. The radio frequency wave here is the carrier. To carry out audio (low frequency), video signals, or pulse signals, an oscillator that can generate high frequency is required. In the fields of industry, agriculture, biomedicine, etc., such as high-frequency induction heating, smelting, quenching, ultrasonic diagnosis, nuclear magnetic resonance imaging, etc., oscillators with large or small power and high or low frequency are required.

Function of signal generator - signal modulation function: Signal modulation refers to the change of amplitude, phase or frequency in the modulated signal to embed low-frequency information into the high-frequency carrier signal. The resulting signal can transmit any signal from voice to data to video. Signal modulation can be divided into analog modulation and digital modulation. Analog modulation, such as amplitude modulation (AM) and frequency modulation (FM), are most commonly used in broadcast communications, while digital modulation is based on two states, allowing the signal to represent binary data.
