On April 15, 2014, WPG Holdings, a leading electronic component distributor dedicated to the Asia-Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary WPG launched a power line monitoring system solution based on ADI and Freescale chips.
The power industry is a basic industry related to the national economy and people's livelihood. How to ensure the safety, reliability, economy and green environmental protection of modern power grids has become a global challenge. The connotation of modern power grids includes achieving safe and stable operation mainly to resist accident disturbances, reducing the risk of large-scale outages; making effective use of distributed power sources; improving the efficiency and quality of user electricity use; improving the utilization rate of power grid assets, etc. It can realize online monitoring of electric energy, analyze and process collected data, and generate various electric energy and power quality reports, analysis curves, graphics, etc. The power quality analysis management that facilitates the analysis and research of electric energy has become an inevitable choice for the construction of power distribution systems on the user side of the power grid. 1. Features of the Solution The online power quality monitoring system has GPRS wireless transmission function and Ethernet remote transmission function. It can obtain real-time data of each monitoring point anytime and anywhere, and can modify the settings and perform special tests on any monitoring point at any time through remote control technology. The recorded data can be viewed at any place and at any time, and a detailed and in-depth analysis can be performed on the host computer. If an abnormal power event occurs, an alarm can be issued as quickly as possible, and the device number and location of the problem can be quickly checked on the computer through the original data. Customers can easily update the monitoring terminal program through remote download and installation. The built-in large-capacity Flash storage disk can ensure the length of the recording time and the integrity of the recorded data. 2. Solution block diagram
