Stable quality control is one of the indispensable links in the manufacturing industry. With the rapid development of smart factories and artificial intelligence technology, automated optical inspection (AOI) has gradually replaced traditional manual inspection and has become mainstream with its advantages of high efficiency, high precision and non-contact inspection. The core of AOI lies in powerful real-time computing and machine learning, which requires the support of the powerful computing power of CPU and GPU. Cincoze, a rugged embedded computer brand, recently released a new rugged embedded computer - the high-performance & PCIe expandable embedded computer (DS-1400 series) under the DIAMOND product line. It is not only equipped with an ultra-high-performance CPU, but also supports GPU cards with PCIe interface. Since its launch, it has become the focus of attention in the AOI field and is an ideal choice for edge AI computers.
CPU+GPU joins forces to improve detection efficiency and accuracy
In the past, the manufacturing industry usually used manual inspection to review the yield of the production line, which was inefficient and prone to errors. By introducing AOI (automatic optical inspection) technology, powerful processing power is used to improve the efficiency and accuracy of product inspection. As the operating core of the DS-1400 series, it can be equipped with the 12th generation Alder Lake-S processor of Intel® 7 process, with up to 16 cores (8P+8E), DDR5 memory up to 64GB 4800MHz and ECC (Error Correction Code) error correction technology. In addition, its design has up to dual PCI/PCIe expansion slots, which can support an expansion card up to 110W and 111mm x 235mm in size. Cincoze's patented PCIe fixing bracket (patent number: I773359) also ensures that the DS-1400 can operate stably in industrial sites with continuous vibration, achieving accurate and high-speed inspection efficiency.
Rich I/O and flexible expansion to meet AOI connection needs
As the key core of AOI, DS-1400 must be able to be connected in series with peripheral devices, such as high-speed lenses, light sources, sensors and displays. In addition to the native high-speed I/O interface (2x1GbE LAN, 8xUSB), the reserved expansion area can also be expanded through Cincoze's exclusive modular 10GbE LAN, M12 LAN, USB3.2 interface or PoE function. The built-in Mini PCIe slot can be used with WIFI/4G module to realize wireless communication function, allowing personnel to remotely monitor production status and related information in real time.
Strong security, military-grade verification standards
As an edge AI computer under Cincoze's rugged DIAMOND product line, the DS-1400 series continues Cincoze's consistent rugged safety concept. In addition to safety designs such as wide temperature (-40~70°C), wide voltage (9-48V), overvoltage, overcurrent and electrostatic protection, the DS-1400 series also complies with the military-standard shock and vibration standard MIL-STD-810G, proving that it can operate stably and safely in harsh industrial environments and continue to work for a long time.
