Laird Connectivity Sentrius BT610 I/O Sensor Now Available at Mouser, Moving Sensors from Wired to Wireless

December 27, 2021 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., an authorized global distributor with the latest semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the Sentrius™ BT610 I/O sensor from Laird Connectivity. This new Bluetooth 5 sensor platform transforms wired sensors into IP67-rated, battery-powered wireless nodes that provide secure, reliable information for applications such as cold chain, HVAC monitoring, single-phase/three-phase induction motor AC current sensing, or fuel tank level monitoring.

The Laird Connectivity Sentrius BT610 I/O sensor, available from Mouser Electronics, is powered by the Laird Connectivity BL654 Bluetooth module, which provides full Bluetooth 5 functionality, including LE Coded PHY. At the hardware level, the BT610 supports nearly all standard external sensors through a wide range of interface options, including universal analog inputs, digital inputs/outputs, I²C, SPI, and UART, or when combined with a sensor cable assembly.

Multiple configuration options allow users to read and transmit sensor data to the cloud and configure alarm events through associated Android or iOS mobile applications. Users can choose to use Nordic nRF Connect SDK or Zephyr RTOS to develop custom applications and meet their own needs, or use the ready-to-deploy application software included with BT610. BT610 is fully certified by FCC, ISED, EU, RCM and MIC, as well as Bluetooth SIG certification.

Featuring a rugged IP67 enclosure with pressure vents, a high-gain internal antenna with IPEX locking connector, and long-range Bluetooth 5 connectivity (LE Coded PHY), the BT610 provides an ideal sensor solution for harsh Internet of Things (IoT) environments where reliable wireless connectivity is critical to keeping systems online and operational.

Mouser also stocks the Laird Connectivity Sentrius IG60-BL654 + BT610 IoT Starter Kit. The kit includes a Sentrius IG60-BL654 wireless IoT gateway with a global power supply, three Sentrius BT610 I/O sensors, three thermistor cable assemblies, a mobile app for configuration, and Laird Connectivity's free AWS-based IoT monitoring evaluation platform. Users can collect BT610 sensor data, then collect the information through the IG60-BL654 gateway and send it to the cloud through AWS IoT Greengrass.

As a global authorized distributor, Mouser Electronics stocks a wide range of semiconductors and electronic components, and actively introduces new original products to support delivery at any time. Mouser aims to supply customers with fully certified original products and provide full manufacturer traceability. To help customers accelerate design, Mouser's website provides a rich technical resource library, including a technical resource center, product data sheets, supplier-specific reference designs, application notes, technical design information, design tools and other useful information.
