Yesterday, a digital blogger revealed on Weibo that Samsung's 64MP sensor will be first launched internationally in a mysterious model of the A series, and first launched domestically in a mysterious model of Redmi.
Samsung's 64-megapixel ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor was released on May 9 this year. Like the previous GM1, it uses pixel-merging Tetracell technology and a re-mosaic algorithm. The pixel size is 0.8μm, and the 4-in-1 pixel improves the photosensitivity. It can take 64-megapixel images in good light and 14-megapixel images in low-light conditions. It supports Super PD high-performance phase focus, 480 fps slow-motion video, HDR function, and richer details and backlit colors.
Foreign media have previously reported that Samsung's 64-megapixel sensor will be first launched on the Samsung Galaxy A70s, which will be launched in the second half of this year, rather than the Galaxy Note 10, and the Note 10 will not use this sensor.
If the news is true, Redmi will release a new mobile phone in the second half of this year. If this 64-megapixel sensor is used in the Redmi series models, Xiaomi's flagship camera will continue to use Sony's sensors.
