On June 17, IDC (International Data Corporation) released the "China Wearable Device Market Quarterly Tracking Report". The data showed that the shipment volume of China's wearable device market in the first quarter of 2024 was 33.67 million units, a year-on-year increase of 36.2%. With the increase in sales, the pace of market shipments has obviously accelerated.

The smartwatch market shipped 9.1 million units in the first quarter of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 54.1%.

There were 5.05 million adult smart watches, a year-on-year increase of 62.8%, and 4.04 million children's watches, a year-on-year increase of 44.4%.

The wristband market shipped 3.7 million units in the first quarter of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 29.6%. The iteration of new products by leading manufacturers has led to a significant increase in shipments.

The ear-worn device market shipped 20.75 million units in the first quarter of 2024, a year-on-year increase of 30.6%.

The shipment volume of true wireless headphones reached 17.04 million, a year-on-year increase of 37.2%.
At the same time, global wearable shipments in the first quarter of 2024 reached 110 million units, a year-on-year increase of 8.8%. IDC said that the growth rate of the Chinese market in that quarter was four times that of the global market.
IDC predicts that the adult smartwatch market will grow by 19% this year on the basis of relatively healthy inventory, driven by the diversified forms and personalized appearance designs of new products. The wristband market will still grow by 4% thanks to entry-level prices and a wide range of market space.
In addition, in the short term, the wrist-worn market will further strengthen its accessory attributes based on the existing mature technologies in sports and health scenarios, and attract more consumers to buy through increasingly refined and matching designs.
