Mouser Electronics signs global distribution agreement with Soracom

March 15, 2023 – Mouser Electronics, a global authorized distributor of semiconductors and electronic components focused on introducing new products, announced the signing of a global distribution agreement with Soracom, a world-renowned smart Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity provider. Mouser will then offer customers Soracom's broad range of IoT solutions, including starter kits, USB cellular modems and eSIMs.

Soracom 's IoT Starter Kit includes everything you need to quickly connect devices over cellular networks. This starter kit is powered by the Raspberry Pi Zero WH. The included ultrasonic range finder helps designers build devices with cloud connectivity and real-time sensor data visualization. This kit also includes a 16GB Class 10 SD card and Micro SD card reader, a Soracom Air IoT SIM card, a perma prototyping board with color-coded cables, an LED, and a 15Ω resistor.

The LTE-M button is a battery-powered IoT button with cloud-native connectivity that delivers reliable performance for applications such as facilities management, asset monitoring, industrial maintenance and aged care monitoring. The LTE-M button has three click types for configuring trigger messages from the device and supports at least 2,000 clicks when using a replaceable LR6/AA battery.

The global multi-carrier commercial and industrial grade eSIM is designed to provide large-scale cellular cloud connectivity to support volume production of commercial and industrial solutions. The eSIM is designed for harsh environments, with data retention for up to 15 years and an operating temperature range of 40°C to +105°C. eSIM provides simple network control and management through the Soracom console and API, and can directly integrate with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

Onyx LTE USB Cellular Modem equipped with Quectel® EG25-G LTE Cat. 4 module provides global 4G/LTE, 3G and 2G cellular connectivity for fixed and mobile applications. Onyx devices are optimized for IoT and M2M applications and can be easily installed on a variety of devices via USB ports. Onyx cellular modems support built-in application protocols, including TCP, UDP, PPP, FTP, HTTP and MQTT, enabling seamless integration with a variety of system architectures and cloud services.
