Ahoy Systems' smart streetlight solution saves cities money on utility bills by offering ultra-low energy consumption
CAMARILLO, Calif., August 2018 – Semtech Corporation, a leading supplier of high performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors and advanced algorithms , today announced:Ahoy System , an electronic design provider and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for a variety of smart city devices, has integrated Semtech’s LoRa® devices and wireless radio frequency technology (LoRa Technology) into its smart streetlight products.
“我们的智能街灯产品是专为确保城市效率和可持续发展而打造的,同时它们不会折让行人和司机的安全性。智慧城市可利用我们的智能街灯产品来降低其能耗等级并减少维护成本,”Ahoy Systems首席执行官Neel Maharai说道。“Semtech的LoRa技术为城市提供了理想的物联网平台,在不折让基础设施质量和社区服务的情况下,显著地降低他们的电力成本。”
Ahoy Systems provides smart street light solutions for municipalities, network operators, LED companies, property managers and parking lots . LoRa-based street light products offer "ultra-low" power consumption, which can pay for their deployment costs within 4 years, as the power consumption of street lights accounts for a large part of the average city's budget. Ahoy Systems' smart street light solutions are easily integrated into existing LED street light infrastructure while providing a low deployment cost. Smart street lights can automatically dim lights according to programmable schedules, detect moonlight and dim lights accordingly, and automatically send information to managers based on fault detection results.
“By leveraging Semtech’s LoRa Technology and smart city IoT networks, Ahoy Systems can deliver street lighting solutions that improve energy efficiency while reducing municipal operating costs. LoRa solutions can be easily integrated into existing infrastructure and enable intelligent monitoring of the grid via the LoRaWAN network,”LoRa website and join the LoRa community to receive free training and get an online industry catalog that will show you how to find the products you need to build your ideal IoT application.
