Lattice Expands Automate Solutions Set and Propel Design Tool Capabilities to Accelerate Industrial Application Development
For applications in robotics, smart factories and motion control
Bringing optimized user experience and higher performance
Lattice Semiconductor recently released the latest version of its industrial automation system solution set Lattice Automate™ , adding real-time network connection functions and AI-based predictive maintenance, enhancing processor performance and expansion capabilities, and having more flexible configurations. Lattice also released an updated version of the Lattice Propel™ embedded design environment, which aims to simplify the development of industrial automation systems, improve system performance and add new functions to support RISC-V processor soft cores.
“Helping our customers accelerate their development while maintaining high performance and low power consumption is a key goal for Lattice,” said Matt Dobrodziej, Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Lattice. “The latest versions of Automate and Propel include exciting new capabilities that make it easier for developers to create innovative industrial applications leveraging the latest industry standards and features.”
Improvements and updates to Automate 1.1 and Propel 2.1 include:
■ Automate 1.1
-
Local to cloud real-time networking – In addition to embedded real-time local processing capabilities, it also supports industry standard OPC UA for cloud connectivity
-
Better processor performance and scalability
-
More nodes enable more flexible configuration and lower data latency
■ Propel 2.1
-
Support for the new RISC-V RV32IMC processor core, providing higher performance and "M" (multiplication/division) extensions
-
More IP cores, including triple-speed Ethernet MAC, multi-port memory controller, 10Gb Ethernet, and PCIe
-
Enhanced on-chip debugging allows simultaneous processor and logic debugging using a single download cable
