BYD uses ADI audio bus and DSP technology to improve vehicle energy efficiency and infotainment experience
Chinese automaker BYD will use Analog Devices' Automotive Audio Bus (A 2 B®) and SHARC® digital signal processors (DSPs) to create a more energy-efficient, environmentally friendly automotive platform and enhance the immersive in-car audio infotainment experience for drivers and passengers.
BYD pointed out that ADI's automotive audio bus and DSP technology enable BYD cars to further improve the performance and experience of the cockpit infotainment system, reduce design complexity and cost, and improve fuel/battery efficiency, which is in line with BYD's car-making concept of "using technological innovation to meet people's yearning for a better life."

Reducing the weight, cost and design complexity of automobile bodies is a huge challenge facing today's automobile manufacturers. BYD uses ADI's A2B technology to transmit audio, control data, clock and power through a low-cost unshielded twisted pair, significantly reducing the weight of the car audio cable harness by more than 75%, effectively improving the fuel/battery efficiency of the car and reducing the overall system cost. BYD also uses ADI's SHARC processor to achieve excellent sound quality, higher cost-effectiveness and more reliable audio system.
