Abstract: The existing calibration targets in C-arm surgical navigation systems have many shortcomings. We improved the design of the calibration targets based on the generalized mapping principle. We introduced the design methodology, analyzed the calibration target design, and gave specific design results. The improved calibration target can reduce the difficulty and cost of making the calibration target, improve the operating efficiency of the entire surgical navigation system, and improve the quality of the navigation images. Compared with the existing calibration targets, the new design is better and more feasible. The newly designed calibration target has been put into processing.
