Drawing Specifications for Structural Engineers NEW Drawing Specifications 1. All electronic documents of drawings for outsourced processing shall be in the format of AutoCAD R2004. Generally, three-dimensional drawings such as PRO-E and UG cannot be directly outsourced for processing. 2. Layer naming, color, and line type settings (see Figure 1) Global line type scale: 1.00 0 layer is the contour layer; CEN layer is the center line layer; DAS is the dashed line layer; DIM layer is the dimension line layer; HAT layer is the section line layer; MOD change record layer; NOT layer is the text description layer such as technical requirements; REF layer is the reference object layer; Defpoints layer is the basic layer, which is not printed. [pic] Figure 13, dimension setting a. The dimension line and dimension line color are set to the layer color (i.e. bylayer); the dimension line start point is set to 0.625 from the dimension point when the print scale is 1:1, and the dimension line end point is set to 1.25 beyond the dimension line; the dimension line arrow is set to solid, and the arrow size is set to 3.0 when the print scale is 1:1, and the center standard is not set. (See Figure 2) [pic] Figure 2 b. The text type is set to standard, the color is set to the layer color, the text height is set to 2.5 when the print scale is 1:1, scaled proportionally, the text is placed in the horizontal and vertical center, the bottom of the character is 0.625 from the dimension line (when the print scale is 1: 1), the text of the linear dimension is aligned with the dimension line, and the text of the angular dimension and the leader annotation needs to be set to horizontal. (See Figure 3) [pic] Figure 3 c. The linear dimension unit is set to decimal unit, the precision is set to 0.00, the decimal point format is set to period, and the measurement scale is set to 1.0 when the drawing is 1:1, such as...
