Video image acquisition and processing technology has a wide range of application prospects in remote video monitoring and videophone. Driving video acquisition equipment and acquiring video data and performing corresponding processing are the basis for realizing these applications. Aiming at these applications, a video acquisition and transmission system based on embedded Linux and PXA270 microprocessor is constructed. Video4Linux is used to realize USB camera video data acquisition. After JPEG compression, the acquired video data is transmitted through Ethernet under the control of the system with PXA270 as the core. Real-time video acquisition is realized by recompiling and transplanting the Webcam_server application. The experimental results show that the system has good dynamic refresh and is practical.
