Abstract: X3D naked-eye stereoscopic display requires the input of information from eight viewpoints at the same time, and users can see stereoscopic images from different perspectives within a certain angle range. A stereoscopic video encoding method is proposed for naked-eye stereoscopic display terminals. Complex disparity estimation is completed at the encoding end, and the compressed disparity information is transmitted to the stereoscopic display terminal through the network to reduce the system\'s requirements on the user terminal. The user terminal uses a method based on disparity map drawing to quickly draw six intermediate viewpoints to achieve multi-perspective stereoscopic image display on the naked-eye stereoscopic display. For the processing of disparity maps, two disparity map processing methods, global smoothing and non-edge area smoothing, are given. Experimental results show that compared with the method without disparity map smoothing, smoothing the disparity map can effectively improve the overall rate-distortion performance of encoding.
