Design of spot gravity center measurement system based on USB2.0

Abstract: In order to collect and process laser spot images with computers, this paper presents a design of an image centroid measurement system based on the USB2.0 interface. This scheme uses CCD (Charge Coupled Device) as the image sensor and CPLD (complex programmable logic device) as the control core. It interfaces with the computer through USB2.0, thereby realizing the real-time collection of spot images. Finally, the centroid method is used to calculate the image\'s centroid. Experiments have shown that this system can quickly and real-time collect spot images and measure their centroids.
