Introduction: The rapid development of the Internet has led to an exponential growth in information. While the massive amount of information has greatly enriched people\'s lives, it has also brought great troubles to Internet users. People are at a loss when faced with the flood of information and are trapped in the dilemma of information overload. In this context, information retrieval technology has become one of the most popular technologies in the field of computer information processing today. However, traditional search engines are not good enough in meeting the personalized needs of users, which has led to personalized information retrieval becoming a new research focus in academia. Among them, the use of multi-agent technology has become a hot topic in this type of research. First, this paper proposes a design method for an identity-based personalized information retrieval multi-agent system. This paper analyzes the connection between identity and personalized information retrieval from a sociological perspective, and then points out the rationality of using a multi-agent system for design. After that, this paper constructs the framework of an identity-based personalized information retrieval multi-agent system and gives the three core agent classifications of user agent, identity agent and management agent. Based on the framework construction, this paper further studies the working mechanism of the identity-based personalized information retrieval multi-agent system from four aspects: task allocation, knowledge distribution, coordination mechanism and behavior patterns of various agents. Secondly, this paper uses the Gaia methodology to analyze identity-based personalized information retrieval.
