Power measurements and analysis for the InfiniiVision 3000T X-Series, 4000 X-Series, 6000 X-Series, and M9241/42/43A PXIe oscilloscopes make it quick and easy to analyze the efficiency and reliability of switching power supplies. Using the power measurement application, you can: • Measure switching and conduction losses of switching devices (to help improve efficiency). • Analyze dI/dt and dV/dt slew rates (for reliable operation). • Automatically set up the oscilloscope for ripple measurements (to eliminate tedious manual oscilloscope setup). • Perform pre-compliance testing to the IEC 61000-3-2 standard (to reduce compliance testing time). • Analyze line power with total harmonic distortion, real power, apparent power, power factor, and crest factor tests (to quickly provide power quality information). • Low output noise (ripple). • Analyze modulation using on-time and off-time information of pulse width modulated (PWM) signals (to help characterize the real power factor). • Use the Power Supply Rejection Ratio (PSRR) measurement to determine how well a circuit rejects ripple from the input supply at different frequencies. The Power Measurement and Analysis license along with an oscilloscope, high voltage differential probe, current probe, probe deskew, and passive probes form a complete power measurement system for power supply design and test.
