Abstract: This paper describes in detail the various topological structures and control methods of power converters for variable speed wind power generation systems, and points out that the two circuits currently used, namely, the doubly-fed asynchronous induction generator system plus the rotor power control method or the low-speed permanent magnet synchronous generator set direct drive converter, have a high performance-price ratio and a good market prospect.
