With the continuous development of digital integrated circuit technology, the power supply of digital integrated circuits - voltage regulation module (VRM) has also shown a new development trend: the output power is getting bigger and bigger, the output voltage is getting lower and lower, and the output current is getting bigger and bigger. Therefore, the research on VRM with low output voltage and large output current and its related technologies has received widespread attention in recent years. This paper takes VRM with 36V-72V input and 1V/30A output as the research object, classifies and compares the VRM circuit topology, selects the forward-flyback topology as the main circuit, and studies in detail the new synchronous rectification drive scheme for the forward-flyback topology. Firstly, the detailed working process of the active clamped forward-flyback circuit under the soft switching environment is analyzed; secondly, the concept of synchronous rectification technology is introduced, the synchronous rectification driving schemes are classified, a new synchronous rectification driving scheme suitable for the forward-flyback topology is screened out, and the working principle of the driving circuit is analyzed in detail; thirdly, the design method of the main components of the active clamped forward-flyback circuit is introduced, the design points of the new synchronous rectification driving circuit are introduced, and a design example is given; finally, the circuit is simulated, and an experimental prototype with 36V-72V input and 1V/30A output is made to verify the research results and design scheme.
