In the future, in the field of automobile safety, automobile electronic control systems will develop rapidly. With the widespread application of more advanced smart sensors in automobiles, modern automobiles are developing towards a more intelligent direction, and safety systems have also put forward higher requirements for them. As an important part of automobile passive safety systems, airbag products have been widely recognized and applied in China. The main electronic control systems of airbags include sensors and ECUs. The high standards of automobile safety for airbags have prompted them to put forward higher requirements for sensors. Reliability, intelligence, integration, low cost, wireless and networked sensing will be the key research topics in the field of automobile safety. Automotive sensors need to meet multiple environmental, reliability and cost requirements. Specifically, on the one hand, they must be able to withstand various adverse factors such as high and low temperatures, vibration, impact, humidity, corrosive gases, electromagnetic interference, etc.; on the other hand, they must also be suitable for mass production. In addition, their reliability should also be consistent with the service life of the car up to 10 years/150,000 kilometers. In response to these requirements, corresponding new technologies and products have emerged. The impact sensor used for airbags has evolved from a simple \"Ball And Tube\" sensor to a MEMS accelerometer. The highly integrated airbag controller (ACU) can continuously exchange data with the corresponding internal sensors and peripheral sensors to ensure that the airbags are deployed smoothly as required. The combination of P-Sat (pressure sensor) and G-Sat (acceleration sensor) enables the controller to make a judgment within a few milliseconds to deploy the side airbags. The increasing attention paid to automobile safety will be provided by the ever-changing intelligent sensor technology to provide people with a more secure driving experience!
