Heat-resistant enameled wires above grade H generally include polyesterimide, polyamideimide, and polyimide enameled wires. With the miniaturization, lightness, and high efficiency of motors, the demand for them has increased, and currently accounts for more than 20% of the total demand for electromagnetic wires in Japan. Polyesterimide enameled wires are mainly used in F- and H-class motors and electronic equipment. Polyamideimide enameled wires are widely used in power tools and electrical equipment. Due to their high prices, polyimide enameled wires are limited to special applications such as aerospace and atomic energy. In addition, polyamideimide resins, in addition to being used to coat single-coated enameled wires, can be combined with polyester and polyimide to obtain composite enameled wires due to their good heat resistance, moisture resistance, and wear resistance. This type of wire is widely used in air-conditioning compressors and electrical equipment. In addition, Japan is also studying to improve other properties of heat-resistant enameled wires, including surface slip, mechanical aging resistance, and refrigerant resistance, in order to improve the comprehensive performance of enameled wires.
