Aiming at the unstable quality of gas carburized parts, oxygen sensors were used to control the carbon potential of the carburizing process. The results showed that the main reason for the large fluctuation of carbon potential in single parameter control was the inconstant CO content in the furnace gas. According to the specific conditions of carburizing equipment and process, four treatments can be used: single carburizing agent, mixed carburizing agent, diluent and enriching agent synchronously increased or decreased in proportion, and methanol as diluent and ethyl acetate as enriching agent. According to carburizing devices and technologies of factories , authors solved these problems by using single penet rant ,fixing different penet rant s ,increasing or decreasing the amount s of dilu2 ent s and enrich agent s in proportion and synchronization ,and using alcohol as diluent and acetic ether as en2rich agent s.
