Computer network is a compulsory course for computer majors and most non-computer majors in science and engineering. Designing experiments in the teaching process and letting students verify abstract computer network principles is an essential part of improving teaching quality. The traditional method of building a computer network laboratory is costly and teachers and students are limited by time and space. This paper designs and implements an Ethernet experiment in the NS-2 environment, and gives a general experimental design process, which overcomes the shortcomings of high cost and poor flexibility of building real physical environment experiments. At the same time, by slightly modifying the process, more computer network technology experiments can be designed, which has the characteristics of strong scalability and high flexibility.
